Can you work with custom designs or sketches?

Yes. We can fabricate parts from hand sketches, dimensioned PDFs or CAD files such as DXF or DWG. As long as the key sizes and material are provided, we can advise on feasibility and prepare a quote for the work.

What is the maximum size and thickness you can handle?

We work with thin-gauge sheet metals generally between 0.5 mm and 3.0 mm thick. Our press brakes and guillotines can cut and fold sheet metal up to approximately 3000 mm in length, which suits most small-batch and project-size jobs.

Is there a minimum order for fabrication?

No. Our fabrication service is designed for one-off parts and small batches, typically from a single piece up to around 10 items—ideal for prototypes, repairs and bespoke project work.

Which metals can you fabricate?

We work with copper, brass, zinc, aluminium, stainless steel, bronze and pewter. We are particularly experienced with soft architectural metals such as copper and brass, including TIG welding of small components.

What if I require laser cutting or larger fabrication work?

Metal Offcuts focuses on small-batch fabrication linked to sheet metal orders. For complex laser-cut components, production runs or architectural fabrication, we refer customers to our sister companies Metal Sheets Ltd and MS Laser Services.

Q: Do I need to buy the sheet metal from Metal Offcuts?

Most customers purchase their sheet metal directly from us before adding folding, trimming or welding. We can also work with material supplied to us, but using our in-stock sheets often reduces cost and lead times.

Q: Do you offer installation?

No. We supply fabricated parts ready for fitting, but installation is arranged by your builder, installer or contractor.
